"Suffering"

1st Peter 3:17-18..."Suffering for Doing Good"

"It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit..."

1st Peter 4:1-2... "Living for God"

"Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God."

I was listening to some of the 423 guys recently talking about suffering in their battles. The message I sensed is that Christ also suffered in the same manner for us. Our Saviour suffered physically, mentally and emotionally. Take heart because He knows about and understands our suffering. Therefore, let us suffer for God's will and not our own knowing our suffering is only for a little while.
